Role Overview

As a People Business Partner Lead you will operate as a strategic consultant and trusted advisor to business leaders, translating business objectives into people strategies that drive organizational performance and transformation. This senior‑level individual contributor has significant influence but no direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Employee‑Centric Champion: build a culture of excellence by driving initiatives that elevate performance, engagement, and retention across the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on change‑management strategies that ensure smooth transitions, employee engagement, and sustained performance during periods of significant change.
  • Advise and coach managers on leadership best practices, team performance optimization, and people‑management strategies to improve leadership effectiveness.
  • Oversee the most complex and sensitive employee‑relations issues, including large‑scale reorganizations, while maintaining fairness and organizational integrity.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with Learning & Development to design and deliver programs that enhance employee capabilities and address skill gaps.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of HR programs and make data‑driven recommendations for improvements that drive business outcomes.
  • Leverage custom dashboards to analyze HR metrics and workforce data—including turnover rates, diversity metrics, engagement scores, and performance trends—to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Provide actionable insights and data‑driven recommendations that support business planning and strategic HR decision‑making.
  • Interpret workforce and performance data to inform HR initiatives and ensure alignment with business outcomes.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to cross‑functional leaders, ensuring alignment of HR strategies with business objectives and leading complex, multi‑disciplinary projects that drive organizational transformation.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR systems and programs that scale with the organization, such as compensation plans, performance‑management frameworks, and benefits programs.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to navigate complex compliance issues, mitigate risks, and protect the organization's interests while maintaining expert knowledge of employment law.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate business objectives into HR strategies and initiatives that enhance organizational performance.
  • Support and lead organizational change initiatives as a change agent, ensuring smooth transitions, managing resistance, and securing employee buy‑in.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership, shaping human‑capital strategies that drive long‑term business goals.
  • Maintain an expert‑level understanding of the business units you support, including their strategic objectives, operational challenges, and competitive landscape, and use this knowledge to anticipate needs, influence decision‑making, and drive HR strategies that support business growth and innovation.
  • Proactively identify emerging trends and challenges, and develop innovative, scalable solutions that position the organization for future success.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience within an HR function, with 5+ years as a Business Partner.
  • Experience in high‑growth, fast‑paced environments (agency, consulting, tech, or professional services preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to align HR initiatives with long‑term business goals and drive impactful, enterprise‑wide outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including C‑suite executives.
  • Highly collaborative and adept at working in a matrixed environment, with a strong ability to drive consensus and align diverse teams toward common goals.
  • Action‑oriented and proactive problem‑solver with a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity in addressing challenges.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong ability to leverage data and insights to inform decisions and strategic recommendations.
  • Culture leader who embodies the company's values and serves as a role model for others, driving a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits

The hiring salary range for this role is $115,000–$135,000 plus a discretionary performance bonus. Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits, incentive pay, and equity upon request.
