To support health information coding efforts, the full-time Pennsylvania Licensed Medical Coder will review and analyze medical records, assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Review medical records from various EHRs to identify principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures Assign codes according to hospital and professional coding guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation for reimbursement Provide educational materials to physicians to clarify documentation and enhance coding accuracy Required qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; graduate from a specialty training program preferred Minimum of 1 year of related work experience required One relevant certification from AHIMA or AAPC required upon hire Computer literacy and critical thinking skills necessary Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and medical records
