Pega Lead System Architect (LSA)Location: Manhattan, NY / Clinton, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)Duration: 10 MonthsRole OverviewWe are looking for a highly experienced Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale Pega solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Pega platform capabilities, AI-driven decisioning, and system integrations, along with strong leadership in Agile environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end Pega solution architecture ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainabilityDefine and enforce Pega architecture standards and best practicesDesign case management, decisioning, and integration solutionsEnsure adherence to Pega guardrails and architectural guidelinesAct as the final authority on technical design decisionsDrive implementation of Pega AI, decisioning, and Next-Best-Action (NBA) strategiesIdentify opportunities for intelligent automation and optimizationEnhance business outcomes using AI-driven insightsLead performance tuning and optimization initiativesDesign and manage integrations using REST and SOAP APIsOversee database design and optimization (Oracle/SQL)Ensure secure and scalable system interactionsGuide data modeling, data pages, and caching strategiesMentor developers, senior engineers, and tech leadsConduct code reviews, design reviews, and architectural walkthroughsCollaborate with Product Owners, Business Architects, and QA teamsProvide support for production issues and root-cause analysisAct as technical lead in Agile/Scrum teamsSupport sprint planning, release planning, and executionTrack work and dependencies using JiraEnsure timely and high-quality deliveryDrive API testing using PostmanPromote QA automation using MABLDefine non-functional requirements and quality standardsSupport CI/CD-aligned development and testing practicesRequired Skills & Experience12–18+ years of overall IT experience8–10+ years of hands-on experience in PegaStrong expertise in Pega architecture and governanceExperience with Pega AI, Decisioning, and OptimizationProficiency in Oracle Database and advanced SQLStrong experience with REST/SOAP integrationsHands-on experience with Postman and MABLExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsProficiency with JiraPreferred QualificationsExperience in Insurance, Financial Services, or Healthcare domainsExposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelinesCloud experience (AWS or Azure)Experience leading enterprise-scale implementationsCertificationsCertified Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA) – MandatoryCSSA – PreferredAgile/SAFe Certification – Nice to haveKey CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and architectural thinkingExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsProven leadership and mentoring capabilitiesAbility to drive high-performing engineering teams
