Pega Developer (versions 7 or 8)Position: Contract to HireCandidate will work with PEGA team of developers and System Architect.Candidate will design, develop, and modify highly specialized Medicare & Retirement call center PEGA applications to drive Optum user efficiency and overall business successTeam structure: 1 PM 4 Developers 3 QA.Top 5-10 responsibilities:Drives and promotes OOTB solutioning rather than custom codeDrives reusable architecture designs and framework layeringServing as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops software applicationsWriting code and unit tests, working on API specs, automation, and conducting code reviews and testingPerforming ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvementWorking with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issuesDemonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testingConfigures Pega solutions including integrations between systems and development of automated activitiesSkills/attributes are required:5+ years experience of hands on development experience with PEGA versions 7.x or 8.xSkills/attributes are preferred:Familiarity with Pega Health Care FrameworksIdeal candidate background: 5+ years of PRPC experience with versions like 8.2 and 8.
