Newborn Pediatric Hospitalist opening in Reno, NV Full-time, PermanentA well-established Pediatric Hospitalist program in Nevada is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join its collaborative newborn hospital medicine team. This opportunity offers a supportive clinical environment with strong subspecialty backing, academic involvement, and a focus on high-quality newborn care. Established pediatric hospitalist team Academic affiliation with involvement in resident and medical student education Strong multidisciplinary and subspecialty support No delivery attendance required Collaborative, patient-centered practice environment Relocation assistance available for eligible candidatesSchedule & Call Standard full-time hospitalist schedule Possible weekend rotation coverage No overnight on-call responsibilities Overnight emergent newborn coverage managed by NICU/neonatology teamKey Responsibilities Perform newborn nursery examinations Perform circumcisions Participate in pediatric resident and medical student education Collaborate with pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, and neonatologists Work closely with dedicated newborn nursing staff Coordinate care with Certified Lactation Specialists available year-round Deliver comprehensive newborn hospital medicine services Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical documentationClinical Support & Facility Features 58-bed Level III NICU 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage Comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support Pediatric surgery support available Dedicated newborn nursing staff trained in: Transitional care, Newborn care, and Couplet care Lactation support services available 365 days per yearCompensation & Benefits Compensation Base salary range: $190,000 - $230,000 annually Compensation based on experience and training Sign-on bonus may be available Relocation assistance may be available Benefits Package Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability coverage Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Dependent Care FSA Health Savings Account (HSA) options 401(k) retirement planRequirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics Nevada medical license or eligibility to obtain DEA required prior to start CSR/CDS certification required prior to start Current NPDB Self-Query report required Clean malpractice and medical license history highly preferred Must indicate willingness to relocate if not currently local
