Pediatrician

Sanford Health is seeking a part-time BC/BE Pediatrician to join their well-established Pediatric department at Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire in Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient and hospital care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, within a collegial team setting. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing health system dedicated to patient care, research, and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of routine outpatient care, hospital care of newborns, infants, children and adolescents
• Attend high-risk deliveries
• Provide outreach to our clinic in Chippewa Falls
• Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients from birth to young adulthood (21 years of age) concerning their physical, emotional, and social health
• Treat acute and chronic disease, including major complicated illnesses
• Provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies
• Assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services

Shift & Schedule

• Call coverage is 1:5 for nursery and deliveries

Requirements

• BC/BE Pediatrician
• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency Pediatric program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
• Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/sub-specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
• If not board certified at time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
• Ability to demonstrate at least 50 pediatric patients in the last 12 months
