Pediatrician

Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New Mexico, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatrician to join their growing team in Ruidoso, NM. Practice Info

• Patient volume averages 15 to 25 patients per day
• Procedures required include circumcisions and deliveries
• Pediatric unit has 8-12 beds
• Pediatric Hospitalist on site during weekends

Responsibilities

• Make all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen
• Manage the physician/patient relationship
• Participate in system-wide health management initiatives
• Provide input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues
• Assist in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards
• Receive and resolve patient complaints
• Participate in the recruitment and replacement of other providers
• Consult with and advise other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients

Shift & Schedule

• Full time
• FTE: 1.00
• Monday - Friday Schedule: Provider will have 36 hours of scheduled patient care and 4 hours of administrative time per week
• 4-day work week option
• Call required per month includes inpatient rounding & attending newborn deliveries

Requirements

• Must be BC/BE in Pediatrics
• Outstanding patient care qualities, highly motivated with an interest to grow their practice
• Patient-focused and willing to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Ability to obtain a medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico
• M.D. /D.O. Board-eligible or certified with State of New Mexico Medical License
