Practice Info

• Practice location is SOMC Pediatric Associates, Portsmouth, OH.
• Staffing includes 7 Physicians, 9 APPs, an Office Manager, MOAs, and LPNs.
• Case load is 25 patients per day.
• On-site lab services are available.
• Close collaboration with Nationwide Children's and Cincinnati Children's.
• Monthly education with Nationwide Children's, school health collaborative, and Partners for Kids.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursery rounding and call coverage, splitting weeks among 5 providers (Friday-Sunday and Monday-Thursday).
• Conduct procedures including Wart Removal, Casting, Ear Irrigation, Ingrown toenails, I&D, and Cryotherapy.
• Perform Nursery Procedures such as NRP, attendance at higher risk deliveries, newborn airway management, umbilical line placement, and stabilization while awaiting transfer.
• Engage in teaching opportunities for Medical Students, Residents, and Advanced Practitioner trainees.

Compensation

• Option #1: Base salary of $257,254 (50%tile MGMA for those just completing training) with additional compensation for experience, guaranteed for 2 years. Can be switched to a wRVU production contract when exceeding target.
• Option #2: Base salary of $318,848 (75%tile MGMA) guaranteed for one year and then switched to a wRVU production contract.
• Salary is 5% less for those not yet boarded, adjusted accordingly upon board certification.
• Sign on Bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100,000 (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2-4 years).
• Residency Stipend: up to $25,000 (requires up to 2 year service commitment).
• Bonus Incentives: excellent bonus incentives up to 10% of salary.

• Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company.
• Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made insurance, in an amount of $2,000,000, per claim/$6,000,000, aggregate.
• Health Insurance: provider pays small premium, deducted from paycheck.

Shift & Schedule

• Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p or 3/12s.
• Weekend office hours: Scheduled every 12 weekends.
• 40 hours/wk - if working 12-hour day or the weekend, your hours are adjusted/credited during the weekday.
• Late evenings: 4-8p or Weekend hours 9-1 could be possible.
• Nursery rounding and call coverage (split weeks among 5 providers Friday-Sunday and Monday-Thursday).

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer physical examination, drug test, and criminal background investigation.
