Pediatrician

This facility is seeking a locum tenens MD in Pediatrics to provide comprehensive clinical coverage in New York. The role encompasses outpatient pediatric clinic coverage, inpatient service coverage, and call duties for a pediatric patient population. Clinicians will work on-site with a supportive team including registered nurses.

• Hospital-based and outpatient pediatric clinic services
• Acute care hospital and pediatric clinic settings
• On-site clinical operations
• Support staff includes registered nurses in the Labor and Delivery department
• Patient population: Children

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pediatric clinic coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Provide inpatient service coverage from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM
• Provide call coverage from 4:45 PM to 7:45 AM
• Provide 24-hour coverage from 7:45 AM to 7:45 AM the following day
• Participate in assigned and unassigned call

Shift & Schedule

• Dates needed: Sporadic dates, October - December
• Day Shift
• Outpatient pediatric clinic coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Inpatient service coverage from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM
• Call coverage from 4:45 PM to 7:45 AM
• 24-hour coverage from 7:45 AM to 7:45 AM the following day
• Both assigned and unassigned call are required
• Anticipated caseload of 0-10 patients per day

Qualifications

• Board certification in Pediatrics required
• Active state medical license required
• PALS required
• BLS required
• DEA registration required
• Prescriptive authority required
• No surgeries or procedures are required
