This role involves contributing to the academic and clinical urological missions in Southwest Virginia, with the goal of evolving to an independent department and establishing a urology residency training program. The position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing program that was founded in 2023, serving a large patient population in a region previously without dedicated pediatric urology services.

The pediatric urology team includes a surgeon, a physician assistant/associate (PA), a dedicated nurse, a medical assistant, and an administrative coordinator.
Primarily sees patients at the Carilion Children's Tanglewood Center, a multi-specialty outpatient pediatric clinic with 17 specialties, child life specialists, and a lab.
Operates primarily at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH), which has 24 pediatric inpatient beds, 8 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) beds, and 60 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds.

Compensation

Min Starting Salary: $497,384
Max Starting Salary: $713,823
Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary
Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary
Competitive salary with incentives tied to productivity and quality criteria
