Pediatric Urologist

Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) are seeking a fellowship-trained pediatric urologist to join their expanding Section of Urology. This role involves contributing to the academic and clinical urological missions in Southwest Virginia, with the goal of establishing an independent department and a urology residency program. The successful candidate will join a growing team dedicated to providing comprehensive pediatric urology services in a supportive academic environment.

• The Section of Urology is expanding the academic and clinical urological missions in Southwest Virginia.
• The Carilion Clinic adult and pediatric urology programs were both founded in 2023.
• The pediatric urology team is comprised of a surgeon, a physician assistant/associate (PA), and a dedicated nurse, medical assistant, and administrative coordinator.
• The program primarily sees patients at the Carilion Children's Tanglewood Center, a multi-specialty outpatient pediatric clinic with 17 specialties, child life specialists, and a lab.
• The surgeon and PA operate primarily at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH), which has 24 pediatric inpatient beds, 8 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) beds, and 60 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds.
• The team also operates at an ambulatory surgery center (Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital) and satellite operating room (Carilion New River Valley Medical Center).

Compensation

• Min Starting Salary: $497,384
• Max Starting Salary: $713,823
• Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary
• Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary
