Sanford Health is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Surgeon to join the established Pediatric Surgical Department at Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients in Northcentral Wisconsin and contributing to the further development of the program. The position offers a supportive environment with a Physician Assistant and access to all pediatric subspecialties onsite.

- Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) will support research initiatives if desired.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients in Northcentral Wisconsin.
- Further develop the Pediatric Surgical program.
- Train General Surgery residents in Pediatric Surgical Care.
- Perform history and physical examination, admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide consultation and surgical (including pre- and postoperative) management to neonatal and pediatric age groups (patients below the age of 21) with congenital and acquired abnormalities and diseases, whether developmental, inflammatory, neoplastic, or traumatic.

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Experience can be demonstrated by providing a fellowship log if just completed residency.
- If not applying directly out of a fellowship, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
- Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 200 patients in the last 24 months.
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated general surgical residency program of at least 5 years.
- Completion of a fellowship in pediatric surgery of at least 2 years, accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
