Pediatric Surgeon

Tenet Healthcare and The Hospitals of Providence Children's Hospital invite a Pediatric General Surgeon to join their mission-driven program in El Paso, serving both the local community and patients from the US-Mexico border region. This role offers the opportunity to practice at a dedicated children's hospital with a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialties and a robust support team. With a manageable schedule and administrative support, the focus remains on patient care within a growing program.

Practice Info

• Specialty: Pediatric General Surgery
• Patient Volume: 6-10 patients per clinic day; average 5-8 surgeries per week
• Practice Setting: Medical office building adjacent to hospital for seamless care coordination
• Facility: 110-bed pediatric hospital, including 40-bed general pediatric unit, 16-bed PICU, and newly built 30-bed Level IV NICU
• Support Resources: Board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists on staff, pediatric hospitalists, and 24/7 in-house neonatologist coverage
• Subspecialty Depth: On-site pediatric subspecialists spanning cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and more

Shift & Schedule

• Typically 2-3 clinic days and 1-2 surgical days per week
• Clinic hours Monday through Friday
• Shared call, 1:3 rotation

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Surgery
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
