Pediatric Surgeon

The Hospitals of Providence Children's Hospital, in partnership with Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Pediatric General Surgeon to join their mission-driven program in El Paso, TX. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice at a dedicated children's hospital with a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialties, serving both the local community and patients from the US-Mexico border region. The position provides a manageable schedule, robust support, and in-house administrative assistance, allowing you to focus on patient care.

Practice Info

• Dedicated children's hospital with a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialties under one roof
• Robust, well-resourced team including board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists, pediatric hospitalists, and 24/7 in-house neonatologists
• Medical office building adjacent to hospital for seamless care coordination
• 110-bed pediatric hospital, including 40-bed general pediatric unit, 16-bed PICU, and newly built 30-bed Level IV NICU
• On-site pediatric subspecialists spanning cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and more
• Patient volume: 6-10 patients per clinic day; average 5-8 surgeries per week

Compensation

• Guaranteed base salary with production bonus

Shift & Schedule

• Typically 2-3 clinic days and 1-2 surgical days per week
• Clinic hours Monday through Friday
• Shared call, 1:3 rotation

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• BE or BC in Pediatric Surgery
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
