Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Mundelein, IL

Make a meaningful impact on the lives of students during an important transition period as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist this fall. This contract opportunity focuses on providing exceptional speech and language services for high school students over the first semester of the 26/27 school year, supporting a caseload of approximately 45-50 students as you cover an FMLA leave.

The ideal candidate brings both experience and compassion, ready to step into a supportive educational environment. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and staff to help students achieve their communication goals and succeed both academically and socially.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
• Professional Educator License (PEL) specific to Illinois
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Pediatric and/or school-based SLP experience, preferably in a high school setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students and educational teams
• Ability to independently manage a moderate caseload (45-50 students)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy and evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth
• Contribute to IEP meetings and share progress reports
• Offer expertise and support to staff on communication strategies

Compensation:

Compensation for this position ranges from $40.00 to $60.00.
