Responsibilities
- As a Pediatric Home Health Nurse, provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the home, focusing on promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of patients with chronic illnesses or disabilities.
- Work closely with the patient's family, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a patient-centered, compassionate, and high-quality approach to care.
- Spend quality time with each patient, providing companionship, comfort, and medical care to children with special needs.
- Expand and improve nursing, communication, and assessment skills through unique and thoughtful interventions and treatments.
- Maintain simple and straightforward charting on one patient per day, avoiding double or triple redundant documentation.
- Work under the supervision of a Pediatric Director of Nurses and in collaboration with parents, physicians, therapists, and other caregivers.
- Provide one-on-one patient care to children in need of compassionate skilled nursing care.
- Deliver home- and community-based treatments and therapies in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Assess, provide interventions/treatment, and evaluate based on knowledge and experience with familiar patients and their unique medical needs.
- Maintain a flexible schedule and a supportive, family-friendly work environment that respects your needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current Utah or Compact RN/LPN license
- CPR (BLS) Certification
- Licensed and insured driver
- Current TB test or Chest X-Ray within the last 10 years
- Experience with G-Tubes, Trachs preferred but not required
- New graduates encouraged to apply
