The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP), in partnership with OSF HealthCare Childrens Hospital of Illinois, seeks a Pediatric Pulmonologist to join a growing academic division positioned for significant expansion. This opportunity offers the rare ability to shape the future of pediatric pulmonary care while building clinical programs around your interests.

As a faculty member within the Department of Pediatrics, you will provide inpatient consultative services and outpatient pulmonary care, teach medical students and residents, and contribute to a thriving academic environment. Whether your interests include cystic fibrosis, sleep medicine, home ventilation, asthma management, bronchoscopy, research, or program development, leadership is committed to creating a practice that aligns with your career goals. Accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center
Practice within established multidisciplinary programs, including aerodigestive care, Down syndrome care, sleep medicine, asthma, and home ventilation
Bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing available
Opportunity to develop neuromuscular, chronic lung disease, and multidisciplinary specialty clinics
Faculty appointment with University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria
Contribute to the state’s only multidisciplinary sickle cell program, expanding access to coordinated specialty care for children and families across Illinois
Research encouraged, but not required
Access to research coordinators, biostatistical support, and internal funding
Approximately 20% protected academic and administrative time
Option for a four-day clinical workweek

UICOMP is one of three campuses within the University of Illinois College of Medicine and serves more than 300 residents and fellows across a wide range of graduate medical education programs. The Department of Pediatrics includes 19 pediatric subspecialty divisions and more than 145 faculty members dedicated to advancing pediatric care, education, and research.

OSF HealthCare Childrens Hospital of Illinois is Central Illinois largest pediatric hospital, featuring 136 beds, more than 140 pediatric specialists, and over 40 pediatric subspecialties. The hospital offers extensive clinical resources and multidisciplinary collaboration across neonatology, pediatric critical care, gastroenterology, neurology, otolaryngology, and additional pediatric specialties.
