Pediatric Pulmonologist

This facility is seeking a locum tenens Pediatric Pulmonologist to provide coverage in Urbana, Illinois, starting in January on an ongoing basis for 1 to 2 weeks per month. The role encompasses a mix of clinic and inpatient responsibilities, including managing a pediatric patient population with an average volume of 15 patients per day in the clinic. Clinicians will work alongside a dedicated support team consisting of an RN, an RT, two APPs, and shared CMA and PSR staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and clinic-based pediatric pulmonology coverage
• Conduct clinic duties Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Provide inpatient hospital coverage on a 24-hour shift cycle from Monday at 8:00 AM through the following Monday at 8:00 AM
• Provide call coverage throughout the assigned week
• Perform bronchoscopy for urgent needs during on-call periods

Shift & Schedule

• Dates needed: January - Ongoing, 1 - 2 weeks per month
• Shift type: 24-Hour Shift
• Clinic duties scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Inpatient hospital coverage runs on a 24-hour shift cycle from Monday at 8:00 AM through the following Monday at 8:00 AM
• Call required: Yes

Requirements

• Board certification required: No, accommodates both Board Certified and Board Eligible clinicians
• Active state license or IMLC with a Letter of Qualification in hand
• Credentialing period of approximately 90 days applies to this assignment
