An established behavioral health program in Mansfield Center, Connecticut, is seeking a Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. This position focuses on providing comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care to children and adolescents with a wide range of mental health conditions. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver high-quality patient care.
Practice Info
- Setting: Outpatient
- Patient Volume: Approximately 10-12 patients per day
- Discharges: At least 2 discharges per day
- Program Size: 28 total beds
- Patient Population: Children and adolescents with all mental health diagnoses
- Care Model: Multidisciplinary team environment
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Coordinate care with therapists, nursing staff, and other providers
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
- Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Willingness to practice in an outpatient setting
- Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
