Job Overview
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pathology, Anatomy & Laboratory Medicine (PALM) seek a Pediatric Pathologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank to lead our pediatric pathology services at the WVU Medicine Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties
- Practice as a Pediatric Pathologist within a subspecialty-based system.
- Sign out pediatric surgical specimens and perinatal autopsies.
- Act as a key liaison to a broad and growing team of pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, and other related subspecialists.
- Shape the pathology support for one of the region's premier children's hospitals.
- Possibly participate in other clinical subspecialty or administrative areas of expertise/interest.
- Collaborate on research and scholarly activities with faculty across WVU departments.
- Provide excellent patient care and actively involve in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
- MD, DO degree, or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
- Completed an AP or AP/CP residency, as well as a Pediatric Pathology fellowship.
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Pathology by the time of appointment.

Morgantown, West Virginia.
Scheduling
Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Exempt (U.S.).
