Position Summary
Phoenix Children’s is seeking board‑certified/board‑eligible, fellowship‑trained Pediatric Otolaryngologists to join a team of 10 surgeons and 8 advanced practice providers. The role involves managing the full spectrum of pediatric otolaryngologic conditions in a tertiary care setting, advancing research, and mentoring residents and medical students across three local institutions. The physician will support Phoenix Children’s mission of providing hope, healing, and the best health care for children and their families.
Position Duties
- Patient Care Services
- Provide patient care services for which the physician is clinically privileged, including but not limited to: direct patient care on an inpatient and outpatient basis, subspecialty consultations and follow‑up, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, urgent/emergent care as necessary.
- Strive to achieve the best patient and family centered care and support hospital patient satisfaction goals.
- Adhere to divisional patient safety and quality standards and practice evidence‑based medicine.
- Divisional Responsibilities
- Set and achieve annual physician goals and objectives.
- Support medical education programs, including supervision of trainees and allied health professionals, teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences.
- Participate in postgraduate continuing education and research initiatives.
- Support programmatic growth and satellite efforts of the division.

- Perform required physical and mental tasks, including communication via various devices, after‑hours call duties, and regular scheduled hours.
Position Qualifications
- Education
- MD or DO degree.
- Special Skills
- Ability to move freely between facilities and examine patients.
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer, or other communication devices.
- Ability to perform after‑hours or night call responsibilities.
- Ability to work regular scheduled work hours.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Additional Requirements
- Current Arizona license to practice medicine or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Board certified/Board eligible in the appropriate specialty.
