Occupational Therapist – Pediatric Clinic

Social Pediatric Therapy is a pediatric speech, occupational, and ABA therapy clinic in West Bloomfield, MI. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations, individualized treatment, and family-centered care for children with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional skill needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Provide therapy sessions focused on improving fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and daily living skills
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, BCBAs, physicians, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support development and independence at home
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure
• Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles and practices
• Ability to evaluate patient needs and develop effective treatment plans
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Preferred

• Pediatric experience
• Experience with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing challenges, developmental delays, and feeding therapy
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting alongside Speech-Language Pathologists and ABA providers
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
