Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pediatric Occupational Therapist role located in Temecula, CA. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-informed interventions to children with diverse developmental, sensory, and functional needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct therapy sessions, documenting progress, collaborating closely with families and caregivers, and adjusting treatment goals based on ongoing assessment. The role also involves coordinating with other professionals when appropriate, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and contributing to a positive, play-based therapeutic environment. The therapist will support family education and home program development to promote carryover of skills beyond the clinic.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Pediatrics, with the ability to apply OT principles to child-centered, family-focused care.
- Experience or training in Sensory Integration and Early Intervention, including assessment and intervention for sensory processing and developmental needs.
- Demonstrated comfort and skill in Working With Children of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds, using play-based and engaging approaches.
- Master's or entry-level doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an Occupational Therapist in California.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to complete clear, timely documentation and manage a caseload in a clinical setting.
- CPR certification and familiarity with relevant pediatric assessment tools are preferred.
- Experience in private practice or outpatient pediatric settings is a plus.
