What You'll Do

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you'll help children develop the skills they need to succeed at home, school, and in their community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique strengths and needs.
  • Provide engaging, play-based occupational therapy services.
  • Monitor progress and update goals as appropriate.
  • Educate and collaborate with families to support carryover at home.
  • Work closely with Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, Mental Health providers, educators, physicians, and other professionals.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Connecticut Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Passion for working with children and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred:

  • Pediatric experience
  • Experience with sensory integration, executive functioning, feeding, handwriting, or autism spectrum disorders
