Wee Speak Therapy & Learning Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Lafayette, IN. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs designed to enhance each child's ability to perform daily activities and achieve their highest level of independence. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, and providing education and resources to families and caregivers. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each child’s care.

Compensation

$89,000 base

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD)
  • Valid Indiana State License in Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities in children.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and goals.
  • Utilize standardized assessment tools and clinical observations to determine therapy needs.

Therapeutic Intervention

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Monitor and document progress toward therapy goals, adjusting interventions as necessary.
  • Engage children in play-based and meaningful activities to support skill development and functional independence.

Family and Caregiver Education

  • Provide training and resources to families and caregivers to support therapy goals at home.
  • Communicate regularly with families about their child’s progress and strategies for continued improvement.
  • Develop and distribute educational materials that explain therapy techniques and reinforce learning.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists, speech therapists, pediatricians, and other professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review treatment plans and progress.
  • Share expertise and provide guidance to colleagues on occupational therapy and developmental milestones.
