Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Urgent Care, Part-time

Job Description

Nemours is seeking a full‑time Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Emergency Services Team in Florida. This position will focus on working in our Urgent Care locations in the Orlando area.

Key Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with other members of the team to obtain history and perform physical examinations to assess and treat acute injuries and illnesses.
• The ideal candidate must be comfortable practicing independently with physicians available via phone for consultations.
• Provides preliminary interpretation of x‑ray with radiology over‑read.
• Obtains and interprets appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities.
• Provides health care teaching and counseling regarding presenting complaints.
• Provides minor laceration repair with an adhesive or sutures; removes staples and sutures.
• Maintains health records in EHR (Epic).

Qualifications

• Must have current Florida APRN/PA license in good standing.
• Pediatric Acute Care certification for NPs.
• Current AHA BLS certificate upon hire.
• 1 year of pediatric Advanced Practice experience required.
• 1 year of previous ED/Urgent Care experience required.
