Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Critical Care, Casual/PRN

Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida is seeking a per‑diem Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Critical Care (PICU) Team. Nights and weekend coverage is required.

Responsibilities

In this role you will obtain patient and family histories, perform physical and developmental assessment, make diagnoses, develop a management plan, perform invasive procedures, obtain specialist consultations, teach and counsel patients and families, participate in teaching residents and students, and carry out appropriate documentation. You will be a part of a collegial and vibrant PICU multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current active/clear Florida APRN or PA license in good standing
• Current AHA BLS & PALS certification upon hire
• Preferred: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner–Acute Care Certification, pediatric APP experience (Intensive Care, Transport, Acute Care, or Emergency Medicine welcomed)
• New‑to‑practice APPs (with appropriate background) encouraged to apply and will be supported through structured onboarding, mentorship, and training
