Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Neurologist to join a well-established practice at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This full-time position, with part-time options, offers the chance to participate in a multispecialty group providing patient-centered, evidence-based care. The role involves a full range of outpatient services and inpatient consults at the adjoining Children's Hospital, with strong support from Pediatric Hospitalists.

Practice Info

  • Join a well-established practice located in the Department of Neurology at Marshfield Medical Center.
  • The practice includes a full range of outpatient services including general Pediatric Neurology, epilepsy, headaches, CP, movement disorders.
  • Inpatient PICU, NICU, and Pediatrics inpatient consults are conducted at the adjoining Children's Hospital.
  • Work with a collegial team of physicians, great support staff, and highly trained Pediatric subspecialists on-site.
  • Outreach to other sites is anticipated.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Perform history and physical examinations.
  • Participate in a multispecialty group that provides patient-centered care rooted in evidence-based medicine.
  • Provide inpatient PICU, NICU, and Pediatrics inpatient consults.
  • Be involved in medical education and research.

Shift & Schedule

  • Position is full time but can support someone interested in part time work.
  • Call is 1:3 weeks and is highly supported by a full team of Pediatric Hospitalists that take the initial call on evenings, nights and weekends.
  • Only called as a consultant if needed by the Pediatric Hospitalists.
  • No parent phone calls.
  • Option of a 4 or 5-day work week.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of a Child Neurology residency accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
  • H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available.
  • BC/BE Pediatric Neurologist.
