Pediatric Neurologist

Position Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pediatric Neurologist to the staff at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health, located on the newly developed Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital campus.

Opportunity Details

• Evaluate and diagnose neurological disorders in pediatric patients.
• Develop and manage treatment plans tailored to each patient, which may include medications, therapy, or surgical referrals.
• Provide ongoing management of chronic neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with other pediatric specialists, rehabilitation therapists, and social workers.
• Educate families on disease management, treatment options, and long-term care.
• Contribute to teaching and training of residents and medical students.

Qualifications

• Active NY State medical license.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Neurology.

Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $242,000* (Board Eligible); $252,000* (Board Certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $361,720** (Board Eligible) and $372,720** (Board Certified), which includes baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) company contribution: 3% of base earnings immediately, plus an additional 7% after one year of service.
• Annual CME reimbursement.

• Life insurance and AD&D coverage: equal to 2x salary (up to $300,000) at no cost; additional voluntary coverage available.
