Pediatric Neurologist

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic and energetic general pediatric neurologist to join its rapidly expanding multidisciplinary pediatric neuroscience program. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to and further develop both general and subspecialty neuroscience programs within a supportive and well-established environment. The successful candidate will join a committed children's hospital with a strong referral base and a family-centered practice atmosphere.

Practice Info

• Part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), which employs over 900 physicians across 60+ specialties
• The pediatric neuroscience center has a Level IV comprehensive epilepsy center, sleep center, multidisciplinary neurofibromatosis clinic, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex clinic, congenital neurosurgery clinic, and craniofacial clinic
• Supported by a strong group of neuroradiologists and neuropsychologists
• Dedicated 8-bed epilepsy monitoring unit and 5 dedicated outpatient EEG rooms, in addition to ambulatory EEGs
• Diagnostic facility includes state-of-the-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, and MEG center
• Second call coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general neurology service in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Build subspecialty programs including, but not limited to, neuromuscular, neonatal, immunology, stroke, neurocutaneous syndrome, movement disorder, and spasticity

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualification in pediatric neurology
• Current FL license, or ability to obtain
• Strong communication skills with patient first mindset
