Pediatric Nephrologist

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist to join the region's largest team of board-certified pediatric specialists in Fargo, ND. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive outpatient clinic and inpatient consult services, treating acute and chronic kidney disease, dialysis therapy, and post-transplant care. This position also offers academic involvement through a joint appointment as clinical faculty with the UND School of Medicine and Health Science.

• Team consists of a BC pediatric nephrologist, clinical support staff, and pediatric trained dialysis staff
• Support from more than 65 board certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists in more than 25 medical specialties
• Level II Pediatric Trauma Center within the brand new Sanford Medical Center housing a 12 bed PICU, a 20-24 bed pediatric unit, and a 40-bed Level III NICU
• Sanford Health Fargo serves a large catchment area of 1.2 million throughout ND, MN and parts of SD and MT
• Pediatric Subspecialty Loan Repayment Program (PSLRP) eligible site

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinic and inpatient consults treating acute and chronic kidney disease, congenital renal anomalies, glomerulonephritis, kidney stones, high blood pressure, dialysis therapy, and coordinated follow up care for post kidney transplant patients
• Teach medical students, family medicine residents, and residents in the upcoming pediatric residency through a joint appointment as clinical faculty with the Department of Pediatrics at UND School of Medicine and Health Science

Compensation

• Nationally competitive compensation plan
• Annual compensation of $277,000 for the first two years of the employment contract, plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
• $100,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years
