Pediatric Intensivist

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to join their team of four physicians. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient care and administering an established pediatric sedation program, working closely with various pediatric subspecialists. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a tertiary pediatric care mission within a 411-bed regional center.

Practice Info

• Join a team of four intensivists and six pediatric hospitalists.
• The pediatric inpatient service works closely with a broad range of pediatric subspecialists including cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, neurology and surgery.
• The program has forged strong relationships with regional hospitals and providers as part of its tertiary pediatric care mission.
• Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is a 411-bed regional tertiary care center and an ACS-verified level II trauma center with academic affiliations.
• Dedicated neonatal and pediatric transport is offered.
• Base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air transport service.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care.
• Administer an established pediatric sedation program.

Compensation

• $290,000-$310,000 annual base salary.
• The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.

Requirements

• BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care.
• Two or more years' experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interest in teaching and outreach across a broad geographic area.
