Pediatric Intensivist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join their growing practice at North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a 6-bed PICU and 10-bed pediatric floor, collaborating with a team of intensivists and pediatric hospitalists. The role offers excellent sub-specialty support and opportunities to work with medical students from Texas A&M School of Medicine.

Practice Info

• Join a growing practice at North Austin Medical Center
• Work in a 6-bed PICU and 10-bed pediatric floor
• Collaborate with a team of 3 intensivists and 4 pediatric hospitalists
• Excellent Sub-specialty support is available, including peds ID, peds GI, peds pulmonology, and some peds cardiology
• Affiliated with Texas A&M School of Medicine with opportunities to work with medical students at every level
• Primary site for the pediatrics clerkship

Responsibilities

• Admissions and patient management
• Consultation with families and referring physicians
• Come in for all admissions, consults, patient emergencies during night shifts

Shift & Schedule

• Day shifts are 7am-5pm
• Nights are 5pm-7am with night shifts from home
• Physicians come in about 40% of the nights that they are on call
