Job Summary

Geisinger is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician to join our team in Danville, PA.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Peds ID physicians.
• Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes outpatient, inpatient rounding, and Peds ID consults).
• Outpatient clinics: rotate among Peds ID physicians.
• Call coverage with Peds ID physicians and CHOP Peds ID; limited overnight call coverage (5 weekday nights) and weekend coverage (1 weekend per month). All overnight calls are phone-call only.
• Provide consultative Pediatric ID services in collaboration with Pediatric Specialties.
• Assist nurse coordinator in managing Epic in basket and referral workflow.
• Use AI dictation for documentation.
• Participate in telemedicine visits.
• Work within a 41-bed NICU, 14-bed PICU, 36-bed Children’s 2 and Children’s 3 programs, alongside pediatric psychologist, nutrition support, pharmacy support, care management support, and Peds ID social worker.
• Affiliation with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Schedule

• Clinic hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Limited overnight call coverage: 5 weekday nights and 1 weekend per month.
• Phone-call only overnight coverage.

Position Details

• Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required).
• Experience: Certification(s) and License(s) – Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Skills: Patient Care and Procedural Skills, Professional Etiquette, Systems-Based Practice.
