Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician to join its established team at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves collaborating with one MD and providing care for pediatric and adolescent patients with a wide range of infectious diseases. The position offers an opportunity to work within a comprehensive Children's Hospital setting, contributing to patient care, medical education, and research.

Practice Info

  • Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician.
  • Work collaboratively and share call with 1 MD.
  • On site Children's Hospital with women's health, newborn nursery, General Pediatrics, PICU, NICU and pediatric sedation unit.
  • Support care of patients through congenital infections, HIV, Lyme Disease, Blastomycosis, Lymphadenopathy, MRSA infections, Recurrent Fevers, and Tick-Borne Illnesses.
  • Infectious Disease Clinic shares physical location with other pediatric outpatient specialties (Cardio, Pulm, Endo, Rheum, Neph, GI, Heme/Onc), Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric primary care.
  • Marshfield Children's Hospital is a 56-bed facility, Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital, and one of only four in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examinations.
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide care to pediatric and adolescent patients with infectious diseases of all types and in all organ systems.
  • Be involved in medical education and research.

Requirements

  • H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Experience can be demonstrated by a fellowship log (for recent fellows) or a quality profile from current hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including number of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
  • Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services, which included the care of at least 50 pediatric patients in the last 12 months (if not applying directly out of fellowship).
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the care of at least 50 pediatric patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months (if a quality profile is not available).
  • Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program.
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training.
