Pediatrix Neonatology of Houston, an affiliate of Pediatrix Medical Group, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our growing practice at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake Hospital. The hospitalist will cover the pediatric inpatient floor and oversee PNPs who round in the newborn nursery. This exciting opportunity allows you to practice in a vibrant community hospital setting with comprehensive pediatric services.
Practice Info
- Hospitalists cover pediatric inpatient floor and oversee PNPs who round in the newborn nursery
- New pediatric unit with 8 bed capacity
- Accepts direct admissions from community Pediatricians
- In-house from 8a-5p
- Over-night home call for Pediatric Unit + Nursery: 2 weeks per month
- Pediatric Subspecialists - Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, General Surgery, Neurosurgery
- Additional Pediatric Services: Pediatric Emergency Room
- Newborn Nursery open nursery with average 4000 deliveries/year and average daily census 20 newborns
- Nursery is covered daily by 2 PNPs with no delivery attendance and no circumcisions
- Level 3 NICU in house
- HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 532-bed full-service acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a dedicated pediatric emergency center
