Pediatric Hospitalist

This locum tenens opportunity in Virginia invites a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide essential day shift and call coverage at a not-for-profit hospital. The clinician will manage patient care across a 17-bed pediatric floor and a newborn nursery supporting approximately 2,400 annual deliveries. Responsibilities include maintaining an average daily census of 5 on the pediatric floor and 15 in the newborn nursery, alongside call availability from home or hotel after daily rounding.

Responsibilities

• Provide day shift and call coverage on a 17-bed pediatric floor and in the newborn nursery
• Support approximately 2,400 annual deliveries on an on-site basis
• Manage a pediatric floor average daily census of 5 patients
• Manage a newborn nursery average daily census of 15 patients
• Provide 24-hour rounding plus call coverage from home or hotel following completion of daily rounding
