Pediatrix is seeking a BC Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead a team of 2.5 full-time pediatric hospitalists at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on children's health, shape the program's direction, and practice at the top of your scope within a supportive environment. The position includes faculty appointment opportunities with Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine and unique clinical research.

Practice Info

Lead a team of 2.5 full-time pediatric hospitalists.
Practice at Portneuf Medical Center, a 205-bed hospital, Level II trauma center, and regional referral center.
Oversee patients in a 6-bed pediatric unit and a 2-bed PICU step-down unit.
Consult on pediatric patients in the emergency department and surgical patients.
Collaborate and consult with a sister program 30-minutes away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Opportunity for faculty appointment with Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine and unique clinical research opportunities.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 2.5 full-time pediatric hospitalists.
Round in hospital, with call from home.
Oversee patients in a 2-bed PICU step-down unit.
Consult on pediatric patients in the emergency department.
Consult on surgical patients.
