Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join its inpatient pediatric team. Practice Info
- Inpatient team of 2 Pediatric Physicians and 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
- 2 providers (1 physician, 1 nurse practitioner per shift) alternating 1st call every other day/night
- Pediatric Unit is a 14-room, 16-bed unit
- Population of newborns to 17 years of age
- Daily census approximately 6 patients, increasing during cold and flu season
- Level III NICU staffed with Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient pediatric rounds
- Perform newborn rounds
- Respond to the ED for pediatric patients
- Manage occasional short-term pediatric ventilator management post-op
- Care for a wide variety of conditions, including surgical, respiratory, pediatric/adolescent psych patients, NAS babies, patients with chronic conditions, some PICU, DKA, complex cardiac conditions, and trauma
- Teach Medical Students from Touro University
- Hold a clinical faculty appointment with University of Washington School of Medicine (WWAMI faculty Appointment)

- Schedule is typically 7 on/7 off schedule or 14 on/14 off

Requirements
- Comfortable with occasional short term pediatric ventilator management post op
- J-1 waiver sponsorships for specific specialties with established immigration council
