Pediatric Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide exceptional inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents in the Indianapolis area. This role involves managing a diverse range of cases, from acute medical conditions to surgical consults, within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will ensure every patient receives comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Practice Info

• Care delivery within a Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery environment
• Out-of-house call model

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct inpatient care, including daily rounds, admissions, and discharges
• Interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and oversee individualized treatment plans
• Perform essential pediatric procedures such as IV placement, lumbar punctures, and resuscitations
• Collaborate closely with subspecialists, surgeons, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated, seamless care
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support resident education and mentorship

Requirements

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
• Active or eligible Indiana medical license
