Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for the general pediatric unit, newborn nursery, and behavioral health unit admissions.
• Supervise pediatric medical students and residents on inpatient services.
• Deliver care with minimal resident involvement during dedicated shifts.
• Lead morning report, mentor residents, and contribute to resident didactics.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, grand rounds, and board preparation.
• Schedule: 8-10 hours on inpatient service per shift, with on-call from home for admissions and problems; occasional overnight call is rarely required.
• Newborn nursery coverage: approximately 8 hours per day in the hospital, no on-call burden.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics (BC/BE).
• New Jersey licensed or eligible for licensure.
• Fellowship training or certification in pediatric hospital medicine desirable.
