- Department currently includes 5 Hematologist/Oncologists and 3 Advanced Practice Providers
- Dedicated program Social Worker, Psychologist and Child Life specialists
- Full member of Children's Oncology Group (COG)
- State's only federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center
- Nurse-administered Nitrous Oxide program
- Multi-disciplinary clinics: Long Term Follow Up/ Survivorship, Hemophilia/Bleeding Disorders and Sickle Cell Clinics
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit (if applicable to setting)
- Evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment or consultative services to children, adolescents, and young adults with illnesses and disorders of the blood, bleeding and clotting, immune system
- Staging and classification of tumors
- Application of multimodal therapy
- Epidemiology and etiology of childhood cancer

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Pediatric residency program
- Completion of a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
