Join a growing academic Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) and OSF HealthCare Childrens Hospital of Illinois. The Division is seeking a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with a particular interest in Leukemia and Lymphoma to contribute to a collaborative team of clinicians, educators, and researchers dedicated to advancing pediatric cancer and blood disorder care throughout Central Illinois.

Opportunity Highlights:
Join an established Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team led by Section Chief Dr. Brinda Mehta
Collaborative faculty group with a strong mix of experienced and early-career physicians
Opportunity to help grow and further develop the Leukemia and Lymphoma program
Robust Advanced Practice Provider support in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Strong Hematopathology and pediatric subspecialty support
Affiliation with the Childrens Oncology Group (COG)
Participation in clinical trials and cooperative research efforts
Ability to establish clinical, educational, research, leadership, advocacy, or innovation-focused interests
Visa sponsorship available (J-1 and select H-1B candidates)

Clinical Practice:
The Division provides comprehensive Pediatric Hematology/Oncology care, including malignant and benign hematologic disorders, solid tumors, leukemia, lymphoma, and sickle cell disease.

Highlights include:
Mix of outpatient, inpatient, consultative, and procedural responsibilities
Approximately 8–9 patients per clinic day
Dedicated procedure time for bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, consultations, and related procedures
Physicians maintain broad Pediatric Hematology/Oncology practice while pursuing areas of special interest
