Staten Island University Hospital, part of Northwell Health, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join its growing Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. This role involves supporting patient care, research, and education missions, with an emphasis on strategy and growth within the division. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing clinically excellent care through a cohesive, multi-specialty approach.

- The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology includes a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurses, dieticians, and social workers.
- A comprehensive pediatric aerodigestive center featuring pediatric gastroenterology, pulmonology, and otolaryngology will open in 2025.
- The department includes physicians with extensive experience in a broad range of specialties, including pediatric pulmonology, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, urology, rheumatology, developmental/behavioral, genetics, and hematology/oncology.
- The Department of Pediatrics has an ACGME-accredited and independent pediatric residency consisting of 24 residents.
- Our settings include: Children's emergency center, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, inpatient unit, nursery, and various ambulatory sites.
- Pediatric inpatient admissions - Over 1,700/year; Emergency department pediatric visits - 20,000/year; Inpatient beds - 20; Pediatric ICU beds - 4; Neonatal ICU beds - 11.
Responsibilities
- Support the patient care, research, and education missions of SIUH.
- Help with strategy and growth for the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
- Participation in resident education and mentorship is strongly encouraged.
- Engage in clinical research and/or quality improvement projects under Dept of Pediatrics faculty mentorship.
