Sanford Health is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologists to join their dynamic team at Sanford Children's Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to work within a large health system, collaborating with 20 pediatric specialties and two on-staff pediatric surgeons. The position involves a clinic-based practice with hospital consults across various units, including the NICU, Peds, and PICU.

- Join a dynamic team of 20 pediatric specialties including pediatric surgery, with our own 2 on-staff pediatric surgeons.
- Clinic-based practice with hospital consults throughout the Children's Hospital (NICU, Peds, PICU).
- Team consists of 1 MD and 1 Advanced Practice Provider.
- Work closely with our three on-staff Board Certified pediatric surgeons.
- Endoscopy included in the practice for both hospital and clinic patients.
- Largest team of more than 65 board certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists in the region.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination (if applicable to the setting).
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide consultative services and treatment to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults presenting with diseases of the digestive system.
- Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using lighted scopes to see internal organs.
- Teaching medical students and family medicine residents as clinical faculty with the Department of Pediatrics at UND School of Medicine and Health Science.
- Teaching an upcoming pediatric residency in 2024.

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a Pediatric residency followed by successful completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology that is accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training.
