Pediatric Gastroenterologist - Austin, Texas

Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine are seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join a busy, established clinical practice in Austin, Texas.

This faculty role offers the opportunity to build a rewarding pediatric GI practice within one of the nation's leading children's health systems, supported by a Baylor College of Medicine academic affiliation and access to subspecialty expertise across the Texas Children's network.

Position highlights:

• Approximately 90% outpatient , with inpatient GI functioning primarily as a consult service
• Dedicated endoscopy/procedure space with a strong mix of clinic and procedures
• Dedicated GI APP support
• 1:4 call , with additional coverage support as the team continues to build
• Ability to develop a subspecialty area of interest and help shape the program
• Collaboration with Texas Children's Hospital subspecialists in Houston for plex cases
• Baylor College of Medicine faculty appointment with a clinical promotion pathway, including a clinical faculty promotion pathway
• Ability to develop a subspeciality area of interest ; particular interest in hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, and motility, though physicians with a range of pediatric GI backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Strong local demand and the ability to step into a busy, well-supported practice

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure
• Endoscopy experience preferred
