Pediatric Epileptologist

Children's Hospital of Michigan is seeking a Pediatric Epileptologist to join its well-established and resourced Division of Neurology. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-functioning academic epilepsy program with significant clinical volume and research access. The successful candidate will engage in both outpatient clinical care and academic responsibilities within a supportive institutional environment.

Practice Info

• Division of 11 pediatric neurologists, including 4 board-certified epileptologists and a clinical neurophysiologist
• Performs 20+ epilepsy surgeries per year with an active neurostimulation clinic (VNS and RNS)
• Epilepsy monitoring units at Detroit and Troy locations, with overnight EEG supported by Stratus
• NAEC Level 4 accreditation
• 228-bed children's hospital and Level 1 trauma center, part of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC)

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinical care
• Participate in academic responsibilities
• Engage in research involvement and grant-supported projects
• Mentor medical students, residents, and fellows

Shift & Schedule

• Monthly schedule: 3 weeks of 5 half-day clinics plus 1 dedicated week of EEG studies

Requirements

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Neurology
• Epilepsy fellowship training preferred
• Eligibility to obtain Michigan medical licensure
• Interest in teaching and participation in an academic environment
