nResponsibilities
nNorton C Hildren's Emergency Medicine, affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine, is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team recognized as leaders locally and nationally. This group provides care across three pediatric emergency department locations in the Louisville metropolitan area, including Norton C Hildren's Hospital, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. The team delivers high-quality care for approximately 100,000 annual pediatric emergency visits, including patients transported via the "Just for Kids" critical care transport team with ground and helicopter capabilities. An academic appointment is available, offering a balance of clinical care, education, and research.
nKey Responsibilities
nProvide comprehensive emergency care to pediatric patients across multiple emergency department sites
nEvaluate, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and injuries in a high-volume, high-acuity environment
nUtilize advanced diagnostic tools, including 24/7 point-of-care and advanced imaging ultrasound
nSupervise and work alongside pediatric acute care nurse practitioners and physician assistants
nParticipate in academic responsibilities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
nContribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practice
