The selected candidate will provide specialized family‑centered care for acutely ill and injured infants, children, and teens in the Beeghly Emergency Department. The Emergency Department (ED) sees more than 38,000 visits annually. Practicing in a new 35,000 square–foot, state‑of‑the‑art ED that features 23 treatment rooms, the Beeghly campus collaborates with the Akron campus, a designated Level 1 trauma center. Akron Children’s Hospital is the only pediatric hospital in Northeast Ohio that has its own helicopter and pediatric transport team.
This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.

Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certification
- Active medical license in the state of Ohio
