PEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGIST
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple, TX, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Dermatologist to join our Department of Dermatology.
BSW Temple is an academic referral center in central Texas which trains medical students and residents at our main hospital, which is a level I trauma center, and its surrounding clinics. As of July 2025, there will be 11 residents, 6 APPs, and 15 faculty, including one Pediatric Dermatologist. We are affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine's Temple campus. An academic appointment is available with this position.
Primary responsibilities are patient care and teaching. Patient care will occur in Pediatric Dermatology outpatient clinics within the Dermatology free‑standing clinic. Opportunities to perform basic dermatologic surgery and laser surgery are available. Call coverage for inpatient consultations at McLane Children’s Hospital is shared between all faculty. The hospital features 112 patient beds and a 24‑hour, level II pediatric emergency department. A level IV, forty‑eight bed Neonatal ICU is located nearby on the main BSW Memorial Hospital campus.
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board by start date
- Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
